UPDATED: 30 March 2020
As we approach going into the second week of the UK’s lockdown we thought we would give you a little update on how things are our end.
Firstly, we want to give a big shout out to all the key workers out there who are doing an absolutely amazing job. We won’t list you all individually as we don’t want to miss any, but you know who you all are.
Secondly, we want to thank our amazing team who are keeping Goddards Brewery running. It hasn’t been easy with the closures of all the pubs, restaurants etc. but we want to say a massive thank you to all you Goddards drinkers out there who have opted to come to us directly so you can enjoy your favourite Goddards brews in the comfort of your own homes. It has been a great boost to us during difficult times.
We are still operating on our #DeliverBrew basis, i.e. beers delivered directly to your door by our team (if you are an Isle of Wight customer) or via courier for those of you on the bigger island aka the mainland!
Those of our team who can are operating from home meaning please bear with us if you are trying to get through on the phones. If you leave a message we will get back to you. For orders, if you leave a voicemail then please leave as much information as you can (your chosen beers, name, address and telephone number – we will call you back for card payments). There is also the option of email – email@example.com.
Please note our office telephone 01983 611011 is only monitored during office hours. Regarding emails we will try and answer your emails as soon as possible.
Even though we can only deliver Mondays to Fridays, you can get in touch with us on social media (Facebook and Twitter) seven days per week. Orders can be taken on social media too! If there isn’t a response straight away, don’t panic, Hannah will respond as soon as she can. So, if you wish to make an enquiry outside of office hours then social media is the way to get a quicker reply.
For those of you who wish to get your order sorted straight away then our online shop will be the quickest option unless you get through straight away on the phone https://goddardsbrewery.com/shop/
During these difficult times we appreciate you all supporting local businesses. To see other local businesses operating on our lovely island and offering a delivery service to your front door, the following link will help you: A to Z to me.
And let us close with a shout out again to all those who were forced to close their doors for the time being. Our thoughts are with you and we are sure we will see you again soon.
Love to you all and stay safe.

We know the past week or so has been a very difficult time and we just want to say our thoughts are with those who have been forced to close for the sake of the health and safety of all. We remain positive in that we will see you all on the other side.
As of 23rd March we are still in a position to be able to deliver directly to your door and we hope that won’t change anytime soon. We will keep this page up to date with our current status.
Look after one another.
Best wishes, Team GB
Statement as of 16 March 2020:
It’s hard to miss the concerns around COVID-19 (Coronavirus), and thus we feel now is the time to assure you all we are taking the situation very seriously.
As things stand, there is currently no impact on our capacity to deliver on the Isle of Wight and the mainland.
The only thing that we are changing with immediate effect is that no persons other than employees at Goddards Brewery are allowed within the brewery. All face-to-face meetings/communication with external parties are no longer continuing and we will update those affected directly.
For those who attend the brewery to collect beer, please note this will no longer be permitted. However, we can still continue to deliver beer directly to your door. If you are in self-isolation, and still wish for beer to be directly delivered to your door, please can you indicate this to us upon ordering so that we can take the necessary steps to ensure no contact occurs with yourself upon delivery.
In terms of production, we are planning for all possible scenarios and following Government guidelines. As you should be aware, we are SALSA plus beer accredited and thus we demonstrate enhanced best practice regardless of the current situation. Approval certification is only granted to suppliers who are able to demonstrate to a SALSA auditor that they are able to produce safe and legal food and are committed to continually meeting the requirements of the SALSA standard.
Therefore, you should be assured that all our staff continue to follow rigorous hygiene procedures, to keep both our staff and our customers safe. We will ensure communication remains open with key suppliers, contractors and business partners as the situation develops.
We are confident we are meeting this challenge with an effective and appropriate response but should you have any concerns, or wish to discuss arrangements further, then please do not hesitate to contact us on 01983 611011 or email firstname.lastname@example.org .
